John Reistetter
John is an internationally collected artist/sculptor whose work is exhibited in such diverse locations as Germany, Mexico, France and India. John, who was formally trained at the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco, has been designing for the home furnishings industry for over 35 years. Arguably, the best kept secret in the business, John’s designs for notable lamp and wall art companies form the nucleus of several successful enterprises.
Currently, living on a 50-foot sailboat in Ensenada, Mexico with his wife, dog and cats, John still works daily in his studio with his son, who is an accomplished sculptor. Drawing inspiration from elemental forms as well as natural subjects, John’s designs reflect his fascination with shapes, curves and lines in three dimensions. Ranging from very contemporary to transitional/traditional, John’s designs are sometimes provocative, sometimes bold, sometimes futuristic and always visually pleasing.
